CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Police executed a criminal search warrant on an illegal marijuana dispensary Friday that resulted in four arrests, the seizure of cannabis-infused products, and the recovery of a semi-automatic handgun.

Police said it was the first Criminal Search Warrant served on an illegal marijuana dispensary in the city. The warrant was served at around 9 a.m. at 3521 Main St. #504.

According to police, the location “housed an illegal marijuana dispensary which generated a number of complaints from members in the community.”

When officers entered the business, they found “barricading potential exit points and found the primary front door to the business secured with a magnetic locking system.”

During the raid, officers discovered “a significant amount of marijuana and cannabis-infused products," including gummy worms, cookies, and candies.

Four people at the business were arrested for possession of cannabis for sales, but they were later released, police said.

A loaded semi-automatic handgun was found at the location, according to police.

So far in 2019, Chula Vista authorities have closed 10 illegal marijuana dispensaries through the civil abatement process.

Officials said there are no legal and permitted marijuana dispensaries in Chula Vista.
