(KGTV) - At least three Cal Fire firefighters were transported to the hospital Thursday morning after the fire engine they were riding in rolled over and crashed into a ditch in Bonsall.
The crash was reported shortly before 6:15 a.m. off Old Highway 395, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officials said the crash involved a fire engine that somehow lost control and rolled over into a ditch off the road.
Cal Fire officials confirmed at least three of their firefighters in the truck were taken to the hospital, but information regarding their injuries was not immediately provided.
Due to the crash and the effort to tow the engine from the ditch, Old Highway 395 between Circle R Dr. and Camino Del Rey is shut down in both directions.
