EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) – Police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at an El Cajon jewelry store in which $50,000 in jewelry was stolen.
The break-in at Diamond Creations on 751 Jamacha Road was reported just after 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to El Cajon police.
Responding officers arrived to find a broken front glass window and smashed cases inside the store. A trail of jewelry was left in the parking lot.
Surveillance video showed three men using crowbars to smash their way into the business, destroy cases, and then swipe around $50,000 worth of jewelry.
The men were inside the store in under a minute.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call El Cajon police.
