SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A body was discovered in the water at Lake Murray Sunday afternoon.
The recovery began after a person saw the body in the lake at 12:57 p.m. in the 5500 block of Kiowa Drive, off of Lake Murray Boulevard, said Officer Sarah Foster of the San Diego Police Department.
The San Diego Medical Examiner's Office was notified and took possession of the body.
The discovery is being investigated by San Diego police.
Chula Vista police told ABC 10News they have been in contact with SDPD regarding the body discovery. A CVPD official said they were informed by San Diego police that the body was a woman but her race did not match that of Maya Millete, a Chula Vista mother of three missing since early January.
