SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Authorities have located the body of a Temecula man who disappeared from a North County campground.
Steve Mesa Turrey was reported missing last week after he walked away from the All Seasons RV Park in Escondido on Jan. 26. His body was located by a K9 search team on Tuesday near the northwest area of the lake, the San Diego Sheriff's Department said.
Divers had been searching the lake, but recent heavy rains made it difficult and kept moving muddy water and making visibility a challenge.
The county's Medical Examiner is investigating Turrey's cause of death. He had medical and mental health issues that required prescription medication.
