VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – San Diego County sheriff’s officials announced an arrest in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in Vista in late December.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives identified 28-year-old Hilario Jaimes as the suspect in the Dec. 29 shooting death of 30-year-old Oscar Hernandez.
Jaimes was arrested Tuesday night, officials said. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on one count of murder.
Officials did not disclose any further information on the investigation.

At around 1 a.m. on Dec. 29, deputies were called to a home in the 400 block of Massachusetts Avenue for “an unknown disturbance.”
Responding deputies found Hernandez with a gunshot wound at the residence. He was taken to the hospital, but officials said Hernandez died shortly after arrival.
