SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Two men were detained after a shooting was reported in the parking lot of a convenience store in Normal Heights early Friday morning.

At around 1 a.m., San Diego police were called to the 3400 block of Adams Avenue in response to a report of a woman shot in front of a 7-Eleven store.

A police helicopter spotted two men running from the scene and hiding in an alley, and officers on the ground surrounded them and then detained the pair.

In front of the 7-Eleven store, investigators found a black BMW with a side window that was shot out and at least one bullet hole in a door, but the car’s female driver was not hit.

Police said the two people detained were being tested for gunshot residue.

No injuries were reported.

Details on what led up to the shooting are unclear.
