A laser struck a United Airlines passenger airliner as it was about to land in San Diego on Monday evening, according to an official at Lindbergh Field.
The flight out of San Francisco was on its final approach into San Diego at about 8:15 p.m. and was about five miles from the airport.
The flight landed without incident and no injuries were reported.
Harbor Police, who responded to the report, would not confirm what color the laser was.
The last laser strike in San Diego was reported in late October when an American Airlines flight from Phoenix was hit by a green laser as it approached Lindbergh Field.
