LA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A Walmart store in La Mesa was evacuated Monday evening after receiving a bomb threat.

Police say they received a call from the store, located on the 5500 block of Grossmont Center Drive, just before 6 p.m.

The employee told police the store had received a vague bomb threat and, as a result, evacuated the store.

Police used K9s to sweep through the store, checking for suspicious devices. After nothing was found, the scene was cleared and the store reopened around 8:30 p.m.
