LA JOLLA – A gas leak forced the evacuation of a construction site in La Jolla Tuesday morning.
At about 7:43 a.m., construction workers struck a gas line in the 8900 block of Villa La Jolla Drive. San Diego Fire & Rescue and San Diego Gas & Electric responded. The construction site and a few surrounding buildings was cleared.
The gas line was repaired just before 10:15 a.m., according to SDFR, and people were allowed to return to the area.
There were no reported injuries.
