A section of the baggage claim area at Terminal 2 at Lindbergh Field is back open after a Harbor Police dog alerted officers there might be something dangerous in the area.

The police dog alerted authorities about a possible suspicious item at the baggage cart dispensary in the baggage claim area at Terminal 2 at Lindbergh Field around 3 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire Department.

Authorities blocked off the area by baggage claims 1, 2 and 3 to investigate, but the area was deemed all clear by 4:15 p.m.

An airport operations official said there were no flight delays and no evacuations.
