SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man walking with his dog in a Mission Valley canyon Monday had to be rescued after falling and injuring his leg.
Emergency crews responded to the incident in a canyon off Texas Street, near Camino del Rio South, shortly after 10:30 a.m.
10News learned the man slipped in mud and fell, resulting in a leg injury that prevented him from getting back down the hill.
Five San Diego Fire-Rescue units hiked up to the injured man and his dog and carried him down to an ambulance on Camion del Rio South.
The extent of his injury is unknown.
The dog was not injured, 10News learned.
