BONSALL, Calif. (KGTV) - A fire ripped through a home Tuesday morning near an area of Bonsall that was ravaged by the Lilac Fire six months ago.

At about 4:45 a.m., crews from the North County Fire Protection District, and Vista and Oceanside fire departments responded to the blaze that was reported at a home in the 4200 block of Via De Los Cepillos.

Crews arrived to find a large home fully engulfed in flames, and it took over an hour for firefighters to knock down the fire.

Officials said no injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Neighbors said the homeowners may be out of town.

The home was located near the south-western edge of where the Lilac Fire burned roughly 4,100 acres in December.
