SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Thursday's high winds caused numerous problems around San Diego.
At Lindbergh Field, air traffic controllers reversed flight operations to have planes take off toward the east.
-- The high wind conditions prompted San Diego Gas & Electric to turn off power to parts Pine Valley.
-- In Carlsabd, a tree branch believed to have been knocked down by the windy conditions fell on a man at Holiday Park. He was declared dead at the scene. Read story
-- A tree likely sent down by wind ended up on westbound I-8 near Lake Murray Boulevard. The fallen tree blocked lanes but no cars were damaged.
