An early autumn heat wave that returned summer temperatures to the San Diego area Saturday is expected to continue into Sunday.
The weather heated up San Diego International Airport to 84 degrees, with similar temps felt in many San Diego neighborhoods. The National Weather Service said it expected that these high temperatures will remain until early next week.
However, it did not get hot until midday. Low clouds and fog were found along the coast this morning. The NWS expected that this trend will continue until the middle of the week, with the fog reaching inland and then
disappearing in the mid-morning.
Despite an onshore flow bringing a slow cooling trend, Sunday is predicted to have similar conditions with temperatures dropping by only one or two degrees.
