SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a gang of suspects involved in a smash and grab burglary of more than $100,000 in purses from a San Diego mall.
San Diego Police said about 15 suspects broke into the Neiman Marcus store at Fashion Valley Mall at 7027 Friars Road at about 3:20 a.m. Friday and stole between $100,000 and $150,000 worth of high-end purses.
Police said the group gained entry after one suspect smashed a glass door of the store with an unknown object.
All suspects left the store together and fled the area in multiple vehicles. Each person was dressed in dark clothing and wearing hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered.
SDPD said the suspects used five vehicles, including a white SUV (possibly a Chevy Tahoe) with tinted windows and black rims; a late model silver Ford Taurus; two unknown red four-door sedans; and one unidentified gray four-door sedan, to flee. All vehicles have paper plates.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 619-692-4800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
