SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Crews will break ground Friday on a major project along San Diego’s waterfront that has been 12 years in the making.
The $1.46 billion, 12.07-acre Manchester Pacific Gateway will span several blocks along the north Embarcadero, adjacent to the USS Midway Museum and Navy Pier on Harbor Drive.
The development will include a new headquarters for the Navy, two hotels, office space, restaurants, shops and other entertainment venues.
The project from developer Doug Manchester is expected to be complete by 2021.
