'Great Chocolate Race' canceled in San Diego, no refunds offered yet

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – With less than a week notice, organizers of The Great Chocolate Race have canceled the event in San Diego.

The 10-mile and 5k runs were scheduled for this Sunday. 

Participants tell 10News they received this email last night:

“Please be advised that the Great Chocolate Race 10 Mile/5k scheduled for Sun, Dec 17 has been canceled. Additionally, there will not be packet pickup held at Road Runner Sports on Friday or Saturday. Please stay tuned for additional updates and information via email, and we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.”

It was signed by Michael at Crucible Racing. 10News has reached out to Crucible Racing but has not heard back.
