CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Fire crews battled two brush fires in a South Bay neighborhood Wednesday after an ember from one ignited another.
Chula Vista firefighters knocked down the first brush fire off Faivre Street before an ember ignited a seconded fire in the same area.
The second brush fire burned in a riverbed near a homeless encampment.
A fire helicopter was called in to help contain the blaze, which grew to at least one and a half acres.
There was no immediate threat to structures reported.
