The day (February 5th) is meant to encourage people to shower in filtered water that is free of chlorine.
In order to make that easier, you're advised to shower with a friend.
Confused? So are we.
But 'National Shower with a Friend Day' was registered in 2014 by a Colorado company that makes shower filters.
So it's really just a fancy marketing ploy.
