EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- An El Cajon Valley High School teacher is under investigation for alleged misconduct.
The Grossmont Union High School District is investigating Melissa Drake. She was placed on paid administrative leave on May 16, 2018, when the District first learned of the allegations.
Drake was placed on paid administrative leave.
A statement released by the district reads in part:
"Anytime allegations of employee misconduct are brought forward the District takes such allegations very seriously. A prompt and thorough investigation follows and often the employee is placed on paid administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation.
The District went on to say that it is committed to taking all steps necessary to support and protect students, including dismissal.
Because this investigation remains active, the District had no further comments.
