(KGTV) - Wearing that “ugly sweater” this holiday season will give you an advantage at the airport on Friday.
To celebrate National Ugly Holiday Sweater Day on Friday, Dec. 21, Alaska Airlines passengers donning their festive sweaters will be able to board their flights early.
Holiday boarding music will be played and free holiday movies will be available on flights “to help get guests into the holiday spirit.”
According to airline officials, the one-day national promotion is for Alaska and Horizon Air travelers.
Alaska Airlines marketing and advertising director Natalie Bowman said, "This time of year, we consider ourselves the 'merrier carrier,' so we love going above and beyond to help our guests embrace the fun, festive side of flying during the holidays. Whether you're heading home to celebrate tradition or jetting off to a sunny destination to escape the cold, we recognize your journey begins with us, and we're happy to make your travels even brighter any way we can.”
This is the second straight year Alaska Airlines has run the ugly sweater promotion, which is back by popular demand.
Airline officials said: “All guests are invited to join in the celebration and share their memories on Twitter by tagging their photos and videos using the hashtags: #UglySweaterDay and #iFlyAlaska.”
We’re taking #UglySweaterDay to new heights!
