EL CAJON – A man may have been intoxicated when left a trail of destruction in El Cajon late Thursday night.
According to California Highway Patrol, at around 11 p.m. the driver crashed his Honda through a fence in the 1700 block of North Magnolia Avenue. The car then hit a parked van and several dumpsters behind a shop.
The driver fled the car and hid behind a fence, but was caught by CHP officers and San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies about 30 minutes later. He was shirtless and bleeding when he was handcuffed and walked out.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment. He will likely face charges. His name was not released.
