VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - San Diego Sheriff's deputies are searching for an attempted rape suspect they say tried to assault 18-year-old earlier this month.
SDSO released a sketch of the suspect Wednesday, described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male in his early 20s, standing 5-foot-7-inches tall, weighing 140-160 pounds, and with a thin build and thick, wavy short hair.
Deputies say the suspect approached an 18-year-old woman at about 1 p.m. on June 11 while she was walking westbound on Civic Center Dr. near Harbor Freight Tools.

The suspect rode up behind the woman on a black BMX-style bicycle and made several sexual comments to her, SDSO said, prompting her to run to a nearby taco shop. After she didn't see the suspect, she left and continued walking on Civic Center Dr.
Then, the suspect approached the woman a second time while on his bike. The suspect grabbed the woman's buttocks and made more sexual comments, telling her he was going to sexually assault her, deputies said.
The suspect grabbed the woman, but she was able to fight him off. The woman began screaming and scared the man away. He was last seen fleeing the area on his bike westbound towards Eucalyptus Ave.
Deputies say the suspect was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark pants. Anyone with information is asked to SDSO at 858-974-2354 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
