FALLBROOK, Calif. (KGTV) -- Firefighters are working to contain a blaze that has so far scorched more than a dozen acres in rural Fallbrook.

According to Cal Fire, the blaze started on Bia De Lago and Via Ranchitos. So far, the brush fire has burned 12.5 acres. Cal Fire originally reported the fire had reached 20 acres, but GPS mapping brought that number down.

The fire was 30 percent contained as of 5:45 p.m. Crews are expected to work until Wednesday morning to gain containment.

Due to the rural location of the fire, no evacuations are being issued at this time. Cal Fire says accessibility is a challenge for crews fighting the fire from the ground.
