(KGTV) -- Gov. Gavin Newsom is scheduled to provide Californians with the latest information on the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At 12 p.m. Wednesday, the governor will deliver his remarks via a livestreamed news conference.

The news conference can be viewed here:

Newsom’s news conference comes two days after the state officially added San Diego County to its lengthy coronavirus monitoring list.

With San Diego County’s addition to the list, the state asked that it shut down specific businesses, including indoor dining, zoos, museums, movie theaters, bars/breweries/wineries, and cardrooms.

Following the state request, San Diego County officials on July 6 ordered some businesses to cease indoor operations.
