CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Chula Vista Police Officers are searching for the driver of a vehicle who critically injured a pedestrian in a crash earlier this month.

Police say the collision occurred Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the area between McDonald's restaurants and Motel 6 in the 700 block of E Street. The vehicle reportedly took off before officers got to the scene.

Police report that the pedestrian is in critical condition with severe internal bleeding.

Officers say witnesses describe the vehicle as an older Gold Pontiac, Lincoln or Buick sedan with a California partial plate of "5BK". The driver was reportedly described as a possible older white male with short white or blonde hair.
