SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A child was rushed to the hospital Monday after being left in a hot car in Sorrento Valley, authorities said.
San Diego police were called to the 5800 block of Pacific Center Boulevard at around 1 p.m. after it was reported that someone forgot that a child was inside a car.
When the child was found in the car, it was 70 degrees outside.
Researchers say if the temperature outside hits 70 degrees, the temperature inside a vehicle can reach 89 degrees after 10 minutes.
The child, whose age and gender were not revealed, was taken to Rady Children's Hospital and is in critical condition.
No arrests have been made.
