SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Several Department of Motor Vehicle offices around the state experienced technical issues Thursday morning.
A router issue caused the statewide issues, according to a DMV official.
By about 11 a.m., the issue had been resolved and normal operations were resuming.
Several offices, including those in San Diego, Chula Vista, and Hillcrest, remained open through the outage but offered limited services.
"Some DMV field offices are experiencing technical difficulties that may affect transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience and remind customers of other ways to do DMV business online, at self-service terminals and with our business partners," the DMV wrote on Twitter.
