Boomers San Diego requests license to sell beer and wine

Posted

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Boomers! wants to start serving wine and beer at its Kearny Mesa location off I-805.

The family entertainment center at 6999 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. asked the city for a zoning change to allow it to serve drinks.

Boomers! is known for its child-friendly activities including mini-golf, batting cages, and go-karts.

A Boomers! spokeswoman gave 10News a statement about the change:

"We are always looking for ways to improve guest experience at our parks. Food & beverage is an important part of the Boomers experience.  Guests at our other locations have responded positively to our expanded food and drink menu and we want to bring the same options to our San Diego location."

The city will make the determination about alcohol sales at a public hearing at a later date.

Boomers! on Graves Ave. in El Cajon already has a license to sell beer and wine.
