SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - For many kids in the South Bay, summer break is officially over.
The 2018-19 school year for Chula Vista Elementary School District, National School District and Sweetwater Union High School District students begins Monday morning.
Both districts are under year-round schedules and had six full weeks of vacation since the previous school year ended in June.
All schools in the Chula Vista Elementary School District -- the largest elementary-only district in California -- will be on a minimum day schedule Monday.
Sweetwater Union High School District schools (students 7-12 grade) and National School District schools are operating on a normal, full day schedule.
