SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man suspected of entering a cargo area at Lindbergh Field without permission early Friday morning was arrested after he had scuffled with workers and Harbor police officers.
At around 5:15 a.m., Harbor police responded to reports of a breach at the Delta cargo facility on the airport grounds. Police believe a man climbed a barbed-wire fence to enter the grounds.
The man was reportedly confronted by several workers and then a physical altercation broke out. When Harbor police officers arrived, they too began to struggle with the man as they tried to detain him.
Officers eventually took the man into custody. It is unknown why the man entered the facility.
No injuries were reported.
