SAN DIEGO -- There were no injuries in the armed robbery of the Person Fuel Depot alternative fuels station in San Diego at gunpoint Sunday night, authorities said.
The robbery happened at 9:25 p.m. at the station in the 4000 block of El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
The male suspect entered the business, pointed a silver handgun at an employee and demanded the employee open the register, Heims said.
"The employee opened the register and put an undisclosed amount of money in a black clutch type bag," Heims said.
The suspect fled on foot eastbound on El Cajon Boulevard, he said.
The suspect was described as an 18-to-20-year-old Hispanic or Asian man, wearing a black ski mask, a blue Charger jersey and dark gloves, Heims said.
