The San Diego Blood Bank held several mobile blood drives in the Midway District on Jan. 3 in an effort to address the increased need this winter. 10News anchor Lindsey Peña spoke to organizers about why the demand for blood is so high.
January is National Blood Donor Month, and the blood bank will hold events throughout the county all month long.
