SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Protesters gathered outside the Neighborhood Market Liquor store in Barrio Logan Friday afternoon.
The activists have petitioned the store's liquor license with the California Alcoholic Beverage Control.
While the store has had no violations since it was granted the interim license in October 2016, the activists claim is brings a negative image to the area, which includes two nearby schools.
The California ABC said it is reviewing the petitions and plans to have a public hearing in the coming months.
