SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Five undocumented immigrants were detained at Torrey Pines State Beach early Wednesday morning, according to Border Patrol.
The agency said around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning, someone saw a panga boat at Torrey Pines State Beach.
Border Patrol agents responded to the scene and, after searching the area, took five undocumented immigrants into custody.
After questioning the group, agents determined that six other undocumented immigrants weren’t accounted for.
At this time, it’s unclear what exactly happened to the six people onboard the vessel who were unaccounted for.
The boat was seized and the five undocumented immigrants were taken into custody.
