CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Two teens accused in a robbery and pursuit in which a shotgun and bunny were found in their abandoned getaway car were arrested, Chula Vista police told 10News.

On Nov. 15, police spotted a white BMW possibly linked to a home burglary the day before and tried to pull the car over. However, the BMW refused to stop and subsequently led officers on a brief pursuit.

The chase ended when the car crashed into a curb on Greensville Drive and Waterville Lake Road, but the four males inside fled the vehicle.

Officers searched the immediate area for the foursome but could not find them. Officers inspected the car and found that the group left behind various stolen property, plus a shotgun in the trunk and a bunny under the front seat.

After a nearly two-week investigation, Chula Vista police told 10News Monday that 18-year-old Jordan McLeroy and a 17-year-old were arrested in connection with the incident.

Both are charged with burglary, possession of stolen property and resisting/obstructing an officer.

There is no immediate word on the search for the others involved in the crime.
