(KGTV) - Do you find yourself dropping your cellphone from time to time? A special case invented by a German college student could save your phone from certain disaster.
Philip Frenzel, who attends Aalen University in Germany, has a patent on what is being called an “active dampening” case, which has sensors that can detect when a phone is falling.
If a freefall is in progress, special metal springs deploy to cushion the phone’s fall.
The phone case is reportedly only in the prototypical stages, and it has not been determined if or when production would begin.
