(KGTV) - Learning how to skateboarding in 2018 is a lot more user-friendly than in the past. Today, kids have countless skate shops around the country and, of course, the wealth of the internet to draw from.
If you're just starting out, there are some basics to abide by: Wear protective gear. Depending on your age, there may be no way around this, per parents' orders. If you're older, skate at your own risk.
Either way, it's a good habit to wear:
- A helmet,
- Elbow and knee pads, and
- Wrist guards.
Some skate parks even require skaters to wear protective gear.
Outside of the protective gear, all you have to do is learn. That's where friends, skate shops, and the internet come into play. In San Diego, lessons are available at some local skate parks or:
