SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--Rising 90 feet over Mission Bay, visitors to SeaWorld San Diego have enjoyed a bird's eye view of the amusement park and a growing city from the Bayside Skyride for decades.
On Friday, SeaWorld celebrated the 50th anniversary of what they called one of San Diego's most nostalgic and beloved experiences and the oldest gondola lift in California.
The Skyride opened in 1967 as the Atlantis Skyride and transported riders to the Sea World Atlantis Restaurant.
It was the very first ride constructed at SeaWorld San Diego.
