SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Avid San Diego cosplayer Todd Schmidt, known for his elaborate costumes, is working on a new creation for Comic-Con 2019.
From Captain Planet to Iceman, Schmidt dresses up every year for the convention.
Schmidt says cosplay allows him to celebrate being unique and make others happy doing so.
"That's one of my driving forces with cosplay; you make so many people happy. It kind of makes me feel like a superhero," Schmidt says.
Schmidt may be best known for his Silver Surfer cosplay, which consists of silver body paint, a swimsuit, and extra time at the gym.
Fantastic Four actor Doug Jones greeted Schmidt at the convention, to Schmidt's delight.
