SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Lights, decorations, and plenty of holiday spirit(s) can be found around San Diego this month, as local businesses open up for some seasonal fun.
While you won't have any problem finding a classic ugly sweater party, some local favorites are simply dressing up for the month, allowing friends to plan their own yuletide night out.
So if your ready to deck the halls with cheer, check out these holiday parties and events around San Diego:

"Miracle On 30th" pop-up bar

Polite Provisions in North Park will once again transform into the "Miracle" pop-up bar, featuring the most Instagram-worthy backdrop for all your holiday picture-taking needs. The bar oozes holiday lights and decorations and features seasonally crafted cocktails such as "Christmopolitan," "Run Run Rudolph," "Christmas Carol Barrel," and the "And A Partridge In A Pear Tree."
"Whoville Winter Wonderland"
Where: Craft & Commerce/False Idol, 675 W Beech St.; When: Nov. 23 - Jan. 1
Craft & Commerce is turning into Whoville this month, featuring a special holiday cocktail menu with drinks like the "Jelly of the Month Club," "Pie Hard," and "Reindeer Games." The spots tiki speakeasy False Idol will compliment by taking on the role of the Grinch's lair.
"Gingerbread house at Soda & Swine"
Where: Soda & Swine, 2750 Dewey Rd. #104; When: Nov. 23 - Jan. 1
Visit Soda & Swine's pie shop in Liberty Station which will become a gingerbread house! Santa will be in the house and anyone who brings a gift to donate to Toys for Tots gets a complimentary photo with the big man (Mondays and Wednesdays) or a slightly inebriated Santa (Friday and Saturday nights.) Cookie decorating will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays Christmas movies marathons will run on Sundays.
Drink, Play, Create: A Holiday Party
Where: The New Children's Museum, 200 W Island Ave.; When: Dec. 7

The Hillcrest Business Association hosts the annual Taste 'n' Tinis event, offering shopping, eats, and seasonally-inspired martinis in a holiday atmosphere. Every purchase at a participating retail enters shoppers into a $2,500 shopping spree drawing. Tickets available here.
4th annual Ales and Rails
Where: San Diego Model Railroad Museum; When: Dec. 14
Ugly sweaters, holiday cheer, and craft beer all in one place! Ales and Rails raises money to benefit the San Diego Model Railroad Museum, all while guests enjoy samples of craft beer from local brewers, take part in an ugly sweater contest, and test their observational skills on a scavanger hunt.
