SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Spring is in the air and it’s the perfect time of year to get the family outside to enjoy all the beauty of San Diego County.
If you’re thinking of taking the family for a bike ride, we’ve compiled a list of great family-friendly spots to enjoy around the county.

Mission Bay Bike Path
This is a great spot to soak up the sun while casually making your way around Mission Bay. You can bike around the entire bay or, if the little ones get tired, just around a portion of it.
Mission Beach Boardwalk
Searching for a place to take in a breathtaking ocean view? Look no further than the Mission Beach boardwalk. If the kids get tired, you can always make a stop at Belmont Park to play some games or hit up one of the rides.
Solana Beach Coastal Trail
This is a great spot to take in with the entire family. The ocean is located close to the trail, so if things get too warm it’s the perfect way to cool off.
Bayshore Bikeway on Coronado
This bike path takes riders past the Hotel Del. If you don’t feel like biking the whole way, stop off at Silver Strand State Beach for a picnic.
Mission Trails
If the mountains are more your style, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Mission Trails Regional Park. If taking the entire trail is too much, there are several other routes to choose from.
Carlsbad Coastal Rail Trail
This is a great spot if you want to enjoy the family on a quiet bike. If you get bored with the bikes, the beach is blocks away.
