SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego's May is stacked with a lineup of entertaining and fun events to head out to with friends or family throughout the county.

From beginning to end, San Diego will play host to holiday festivals and one-off celebrations that promise to give you something fun to do every week of the month.

Here's a look at San Diego's May events you won't want to miss:

May 2 - 6: West Coast Weekender
Where: Viejas Casino & Resort, Alpine
Viejas Casino's West Coast Weekender four-day festival celebrates San Diego's electronic music scene with some of the biggest DJs and artists around covering house, techno, and drum and bass styles. In addition to the massive music lineup, an array of panels covering branding and community empowerment, and yoga sessions will be offered.

May 3 - 5: Old Town Fiesta Cinco de Mayo
Where: Old Town, San Diego
Where better to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than in Old Town's vibrant community, where Fiesta Cinco de Mayo will bring three days of live music and entertainment, a lowrider and auto showcase, children's activities and areas, and, of course, delicious traditional food and drinks.

May 4: Asian Cultural Festival of San Diego
Where: Mira Mesa Senior Center
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month takes center stage in Mira Mesa during the Asian Cultural Festival, featuring two stages of cultural and traditional performances from a dozen countries, family fun entertainment, children's arts and crafts, martial arts and cooking demonstrations, and more to enjoy and learn.

May 9 - 12: Gator By The Bay
Where: Spanish Landing Park
Let the good times roll at Spanish Landing Park as Gator by the Bay brings New Orleans-style tunes, food, and tons of crawfish to town for four days. Plenty of music, from Cajun to swing to salsa, will cover seven stages. And prepare your taste buds: delicious Creole and Cajun food, cooking demos, and 10,000 pounds of crawfish await.

May 17 - 19: Ramona Rodeo
Where: Ramona Rodeo
Enjoy some good ol' fashioned bull riding as some of the greatest cowboys around ride into Ramona for the Ramona Rodeo, featuring performances by the comedic and skillful Troy Lerwill, known for for his daredevil feats, as well as local honky-tonk band Nancarrow.

May 18: Ocean Beach Kite Festival
Where: Robb Field
OB's traditional Kite Festival will sprinkle the skies with beautiful, flailing kites at this beloved family friendly event. All kids can take part in free kite making and instruction and prizes will be awarded for best decorated kites. The festival also features carnival rides , a craft fair, entertainment and lunch.

May 18 - 19: Fiesta del Sol 2019
Where: Fletcher Cove Beach Park
Solana Beach's annual Fiesta del Sol celebration brings out a lineup of great, diverse local bands, delicious gourmet food trucks and booths, and rides, games, and hands-on activities for kids to the beachside park for two days of outdoor festival fun.

May 19: Escondido Grand Avenue Festival
Where: Grand Ave., Escondido
Historic Grand Ave. in Escondido will be covered with vendors selling hand-crafted goods and international cuisine, and with local entertainers performing for the Grand Avenue Festival. Dog owners can bring their four-legged friends to the Chase lawn area for a special doggie contest.

May 24 - 27: Legacy Week
Where: USS Midway Museum
Legacy Week marks San Diego's Memorial Day commemorations with a wreath laying ceremony, family activities, interactive exhibits, benefit concert with Daughtry, and more for the family, all from the USS Midway Museum.

May 25 - 27: Port of San Diego Festival of the Sea
Where: San Diego Maritime Museum
For the first time, the Port of San Diego is celebrating the sea and San Diego's 250th anniversary with a new community festival on the waterfront. Festival of the Sea features live performances, an artwork exhibition, and (for the older crew) a special on-board pub on the HMS Surprise.
