SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego will be alive with the sounds of music this weekend across the county.

The San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival returns for two days of hit jazz, delicious cuisine, and more at Embarcadero Park. Also at the Embarcadero this weekend, the San Diego Symphony will perform as part of their Bayside Summer Nights music series.

Head north and visit a museum that's ripe with fun. The Cado pop-up experience walks guests through the history of avocados and their impact on our area. Birch Aquarium's "Seadragons and Seahorses" exhibit also entertains and informs with its more than 5,000-galllon seahorse habitat.

Oceanside is getting the July 4th holiday started early with their Independence Day parade, and the Switchfoot Bro-Am brings tons of beach-side fun to Encinitas with live performances and a beach festival.

Here's a look at what's happening this weekend around town:

THURSDAY

The Cado pop-up museum
Where: North City; Cost: $14 - $19
(Thursday - Sunday) "The Cado" pop-up museum opens in San Marcos' North City development, bringing interactive art installations like the Ripe Room, Haas Hall, and The Pit Stop to guests who want to dig deeper into the fruit.

Seadragons and Seahorses at Birch Aquarium
Where: Birch Aquarium; Cost: $15 - $19.50
Birch Aquarium's new exhibition "Seadragons and Seahorses" features Weedy and Leafy seadragons and several species of seahorses and pipefish. At the center of the exhibit: One of the world's largest seadragon habitats in the world, containing 5,375 gallons of water.


FRIDAY

The San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival
Where: Embarcadero Marina Park North; Cost: $65 - $275
(Friday - Sunday) The San Diego Smooth Jazz Festival rains down sultry sounds on Embarcadero park for three days this weekend, combines delicious cuisine, ocean breezes, and smooth jazz from musical talent, including Eric Darius, Boney James, Norman Brown, and many more for a relaxing time by San Diego Bay.

Cruisin' Grand Escondido
Where: Grand Ave.; Cost: Free
Escondido's vintage auto show on the street returns every Friday, bringing out visitors, car enthusiasts and hundreds of historic cars. People watch, stop for a bite to eat, and enjoy a look at automotive ingenuity spanning Grand Ave.

San Diego Symphony Bayside Summer Nights: Star Spangled Pops
Where: Embarcadero Marina Park South; Cost: $24 - $93
(Friday - Saturday) The San Diego Symphony pays tribute to our nation's history with patriotic tunes, popular film soundtracks, and blockbuster Broadways music during Star Spangled Pops. The nights' concerts will be topped off with a fireworks display over San Diego Bay.

SATURDAY

15th annual Switchfoot Bro-Am
Where: Moonlight Beach; Cost: Free
Switchfoot BRO-AM brings free live music including music by San Diego's own Switchfoot, surf contests, vendor booths, and more to Encinitas' Moonlight Beach to raise community awareness and fund for local youth organizations.

Oceanside Independence Day Parade
Where: South Coast Highway 101; Cost: Free
Enjoy patriotic floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars, and more make their way fown South Coast Highway 101 on July 4th.


SUNDAY

19th annual Taste of Adams Avenue
Where: Adams Avenue; Cost: $35 - $40
Foodies get ready! The 19th annual Taste of Adams Avenue returns with 48 restaurants, coffee houses, pubs, wine bars, breweries and more sporting some of the most delicious food in one of San Diego's most historic neighborhoods.

Vibes Fitness Festival
Where: Liberty Station; Cost: $45 - $75
Jump into an all-day silent disco, community vendor market, or any of the community classes featuring meditation, kickboxing, breathwork and sound healing, and more at Vibes Fitness Festival. Stay late and take in the nighttime atmosphere with Yoga After Dark.
