SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Events that traditionally bring San Diegans outside have moved online this weekend.

San Diego Comic-Con is being held virtual, but fans will still get to experience the great panels, exclusive merch, and interactivity of the convention online through free live streams.

The San Diego Padres are also beginning the season without fans in the stands, but you can still catch the Friars from home or while socially distancing at your favorite restaurants while outdoor dining.

For those who missed out on the Rock 'N' Roll Marathon this year, you can get your running in, times tallied, and training logged through the event's virtual series. This weekend, sign up for free and jump into the VR13 Remix race series.

(As a reminder, residents are encouraged to stay home if they feel ill and avoid large gatherings with people not from the same household. The county also requires residents to practice social distancing and wear a facial covering when within six feet of those not from the same household.)

San Diego Comic-Con@Home (Friday - Sunday): This year's Comic-Con convention is being held entirely online for free from July 22 to July 26 — ensuring fans get the chance to interact with their favorite fandoms and, of course, absolutely no lines. There are hundreds of panels that will stream online — with some big entertainers set to appear — and tons of exclusives to check out from retailers. More info

San Diego Padres home opener (Friday): The Padres start off their 2020 season on Friday at Petco Park against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Tune in live at home or try to catch the game while outdoor dining. More info

Little Italy Al-Fresco dining (Saturday): From 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Little Italy will open several streets for its weekly open-air dining experience. Tables are distanced to allow for social distancing and diners will be required to have facial coverings, except when eating and drinking. More info

San Diego County Fair food fun (Friday-Sunday): The Del Mar Fairgrounds is offering delicious bites from fair vendors Friday through Sunday until Sept. 7. Grab a bit from vendors like Chicken Charlies, Roxy's, Sugar Bear, and more! The fair is also hosting virtual exhibits showcasing student artwork, photography, and livestock shows. More info

Virtual Rock 'N' Roll Marathon (Friday-Sunday): While this year's Rock 'N' Roll Marathon may have been canceled, you can still participate and train virtually through the Rock 'N' Roll Virtual Running Club. Signing up online is free and there are events to rack up points and running swag. This weekend, jump into the Rock 'N' Roll VR13 Remix race series. More info
