Celebrating 11th Annual San Diego Festival of Science & Engineering Expo at Petco Park in San Diego

(KGTV) -- Explore! Experiment and enjoy! The San Diego Science Expo is back!

The Biocom Institute Festival of Science and Engineering is a ten-day educational experience including interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and dynamic speakers to engage kids and families in all that encompasses STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

The week kicks off with its largest event EXPO Day (March 2, 2019) at PETCO Park. EXPO Day is free and open to the public.

A free day of fun for the whole family. This signature event offers over a hundred hands-on exhibits including robotics, engineering, gross & gooey experiments.

Hundreds of community businesses and organizations will participate in EXPO Day in addition to over 60 programs and events that will follow throughout the week all throughout the county of San Diego. More than 75,000 kids, parents, teachers, industry leaders and community members are anticipated to attend during STEM Week.

NEW this year: They’re adding the “A” to STEM and bringing art to science with a look at graffiti and surfing.
Don’t forget Fireside Chats at the Mercado for all conversations about biology, ecology, engineering and more. For children under 5 be sure to head over to the PRE-K ZONE!
