CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Summer means it’s time to enjoy one of the South Bay’s biggest attractions, Aquatica.

The park will remain open through October 6.

Aquatica offers plenty of activities for the whole family, from the 500,000-gallon Big Surf Shores to the Slippy Dippy children's area and all the slides and rides.

For thrill seekers in the family, the Taumata Racer water slide sends riders flying down a 375-foot slide, around a 180-degree turn and through tunnels. The park also offers more leisurely animal exhibits for the little ones.

Park hours vary by day, but you can click here for a calendar of park hours.

Adult tickets to the park (anyone over the age of 10) cost $47.99, and tickets for those 3-9 are $42.99.

If you plan to go more than once, it may be worth it to buy an annual pass. The “Splash Pass” is $49.99 for the 2019 season. Several blockout dates apply.
