CORONADO, Calif. (KGTV) — Coronado is holding a once-in-a-lifetime event, seriously, there's no way it could happen again (under the same circumstances, at least.)
The city will host 92118 Day on Sept. 21, a festival packed with games, music, food, and more. The celebration's namesake isn't special just for it's date, but because of the city's zip code as well: 92118.
City officials overwhelmingly approved the free event last May and plan to go all out with the celebration.

"This year, in 2018, 92118 is not just the zip code for Coronado, CA, but a 'special 9-21-18 date' for locals to gather and celebrate our community – a truly once in a lifetime event," the event's website reads.
Organizers promise a day filled with Coronado-centric fun, including golf and tennis, spikeball, a sandcastle contest, music and dancing, and beach fireworks.
Local musicians set to perform include Coronado's Got Talent Winner Christine Umali, Crown Town, In Midlife Crisis, and Ron's Garage.
