San Diego International Fringe Festival throughout San Diego - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
The San Diego International Fringe Festival is a collection of performances odd and unique taking place across the county. Arts and creativity will be on full display in a variety of show themes, including family fringe, emerging fringe, visual fringe, street theater, and the world’s first bi-national fringe show. San Diego Gem Faire at Scottish Rite Event Center - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
One of the largest gem, jewelry, and beads shows is making its way to San Diego this weekend. Millions of beads, crystals, and pieces of fine and craft jewelry will be on display for visitors to peruse. More information.
Ocean Beach Street Fair and Chili Cook-Off in Ocean Beach - Saturday
More than 70,000 visitors are expected to descend upon Ocean Beach for the annual street fair and chili cook-off. Entrance to the street fair is free and features various vendors, live entertainment, and eclectic arts. The chili competition will feature amateur entrants battling it out for a slew of awards, including the coveted "People's Choice Award." More information.
Little Italy Summer Film Festival at Amici Park Amphitheater in Little Italy - Saturday

San Diego Brew Festival at Liberty Station - Saturday
Beer, food trucks, and live music will bring beer and music lovers swarming to Liberty Station for this seventh annual event. More than 150 beers from 70 local and internationally renowned craft breweries will be featured, as well as some of San Diego's most popular food trucks. More information.
San Diego Dog Show Fundraiser in Balboa Park - Saturday
Think your dog has what it takes to be top of the pack? The San Diego Dog Show fundraiser will feature a handful of classes dog owners can sign their pets up for, including cutest puppy, best veteran, floppiest ears, and more. Padres Tailgate Party and Firefighter Chili Cook-Off at Embarcadero Marina Park - Saturday
The 37th annual Tailgate Party and Firefighter Chili Cook-Off will feature firefighters from across the San Diego County battle it out for chili supremacy. Tickets are offered with a ticket to Saturday's San Diego Padres game included or without, for those who just want to attend the chili cook-off. Proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Island Vibe Music Festival at Qualcomm Stadium - Saturday

Unbattle on the Midway at USS Midway - Sunday
The first Unbattle on the Midway Banquet will take place on the USS Midway this weekend to raise funds for veterans and active duty military personnel. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best for this fundraising gala, that also features a silent auction and service members testing their culinary skills against each other in a cook-off.
